AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
Introducing the Alvarez Masterwork Dreadnought 60E Herringbone Acoustic Electric Guitar—a pinnacle of craftsmanship and performance for the discerning musician. Engineered with the flatpicker and powerful strummer in mind, this all-solid Dreadnought delivers unparalleled clarity, powerful bass, and sparkling trebles, making it an exceptional choice for a wide range of musical styles.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the MD60 features traditional Bluegrass-inspired aesthetics, including open gear nickel tuners, classic inlays, and a high-quality tortoiseshell-style pickguard. Its highly responsive design, coupled with the FS6 forward-shifted scalloped X bracing system and AAA Sitka Spruce top, produces a rich, articulate tone with impressive projection and instant response.
Equipped with the LR Baggs HiFi pickup system, the MD60 ensures exceptional balance, definition, and dynamics, both on stage and in the studio. The closed sensor design of the LR Baggs HiFi system offers excellent feedback resistance, while the built-in studio-quality preamp provides optimal plug-and-play performance.
As part of the Alvarez Masterworks Series, the MD60 embodies a commitment to excellence in both design and construction. Each component, from the solid AAA Sitka Spruce top to the solid African Mahogany back and sides, is carefully selected and graded to ensure maximum tonal benefits. The Advanced Tonal Response (ATR™) process further enhances wood stability and resonance, resulting in a sophisticated and complex voicing from day one.
With its impeccable craftsmanship, exceptional tone, and uncompromising quality, the Alvarez Masterwork Dreadnought 60E Herringbone Acoustic Electric Guitar sets a new standard for instruments in its class. Experience the difference with Alvarez Masterworks.

We endeavour to show the actual instrument in stock whenever possible, but the guitar in stock may differ slightly from the one shown on our website. Materials used can look different from guitar to guitar, including timber grain and colour, parts colours and finishing. If an instrument is a one-of-a-kind or preowned guitar, the picture will always be of the actual guitar in stock, but production models may have slight variations to the picture shown.
If you're after a particular look, feel free to email us at info@acousticcentre.com.au or send us a message through our chat service to request photos of the actual guitar in stock. We are more than happy to send through pictures of all in-stock guitars, to make your choice easier.
Please note that returns will not be accepted for variations in timber grain / colouring, finish variations and parts colouring, unless there is a fault with the instrument. If you have any questions at all regarding an instrument's appearance, just drop us a line - we're always happy to send photos, and if we have more than one instrument in stock you'll be able to choose the exact guitar that you receive!
