AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
Introducing the Gibson SJ-200 Antique Natural Acoustic Electric Guitar, a timeless instrument that has set the standard for acoustic guitars since its debut in 1937. Known as the "King of the Flat-tops," the SJ-200 delivers a deep, balanced, and powerful sound that has captivated musicians for generations. With its antique natural finish and superior craftsmanship, this guitar is a true work of art that comes complete with a Gibson hardshell case.
The body of the SJ-200 features a Sitka Spruce top and Maple back and sides, providing a rich and resonant tone. The stunning marquetry strip inlaid in the back adds an elegant touch to its appearance. The multi-ply top and back binding and traditional double ring rosette showcase the attention to detail that Gibson is known for. The top is X-braced in the traditional SJ-200 style, ensuring optimal projection and tonal balance.
The neck is made of Maple and has a rounded profile, offering a comfortable playing experience. With a thickness of 1.725" at the nut and single-ply cream binding, it combines playability and aesthetics seamlessly. The compound dovetail joint construction at the 14th fret provides stability and enhances resonance, while hide glue ensures a solid connection.
The Rosewood fretboard features 20 frets and is adorned with Mother of Pearl crown inlays, adding a touch of luxury to the guitar's appearance. The 12" radius and Gibson Acoustic Standard fret wire contribute to smooth playability across the fretboard. Premium Titebond adhesive ensures durability and resonance.
Grover Rotomatics tuning keys with gold plating (nickel on Transblack) offer precise and reliable tuning, while the traditional 2 Mother of Pearl Bar Moustache bridge with a Tusq saddle ensures optimal string-to-body transfer and intonation.
Other hardware features include an SJ-200 Tortoise pickguard with flowers and dots, a black and white truss rod cover engraved with "Standard," and an end pin jack strap button. The guitar comes strung with Gibson Light Gauge strings (.012" - .053") and is equipped with an LR Baggs Element VTC pickup for exceptional amplified sound reproduction.
The Gibson SJ-200 Antique Natural Acoustic Electric Guitar combines vintage aesthetics, exceptional tone, and reliable electronics to deliver a world-class playing experience. Whether you're a seasoned professional or an aspiring musician, this guitar will inspire you to reach new musical heights.
