Martin Style 21 guitars have always used Rosewood for their back and sides similar to Style 28, and up until the early 1950's they were built with Brazilian Rosewood, a now-rare and incredible sounding rosewood that gives these early Martin's a depth, warmth and clarity that is unsurpassed. The 000-21 was an orchestra sized model in the 21 lineup, that was reintroduced with a 14 fret above the body design starting in 1934and continuing throughout their 'Golden Era'. The model was discontinued in 1955, though a few custom-built examples have been made since.
This incredibly cool 1946-built guitar has tonnes of vintage vibe, and a sound to die for. It's the gold standard for classic Americana tone, with stunning dynamic range, and a rich, forgiving tone. It's had plenty of repairs over the years, including an older neck reset (with visible glue joint on the fretboard extension), top crack repairs, a refret and a replacement bridge and bridge plate. The saddle is a bone replacement, and the nut is possibly a replacement - if it is, it's an older one. The original finish has plenty of wear, crazing, nicks and dents, as you'd expect with a nearly 80-year old guitar.
It plays wonderfully, with a great V-neck profile that is just right in the hand, and it has the tone that these guitars are known for - sweet, clear and dripping with character. The action is low and buzz-free, the intonation is spot on and the tuners work perfectly. An absolutely killer vintage Martin from their greatest era. Includes non-original Martin hardshell case.

Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
