Collings OM2H-T Traditional Acoustic Guitar

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

Includes Hardshell Case

The Collings OM2H-T Traditional Acoustic Guitar is part of the Traditional Series, also known as the "T-Series," which represents Bill Collings' return to his guitar-making roots. These guitars offer a new tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound. The OM2H-T is meticulously crafted with attention to detail and finished with a very thin, all nitrocellulose lacquer finish, resulting in exceptional dynamics and responsiveness.

The bracing and tone woods of the OM2H-T are carefully selected and adjusted for weight and thickness, creating a unique voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange. The guitar retains a quick attack and strong projection, making it suitable for a variety of playing styles. The Traditional Series guitars deliver a vintage-inspired tone while incorporating Collings' renowned craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The OM2H-T features a Sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, offering a balanced and rich tonal palette. The neck is made of Honduran mahogany, providing stability and a comfortable playing experience. The guitar is adorned with ivoroid body binding with small brown herringbone purfling, adding a touch of elegance to its appearance.

Other features of the OM2H-T include an ebony belly-style bridge with 2 5/16" spacing, an ebony fingerboard with gold mother-of-pearl short diamond and square inlays, and nickel Waverly tuners with a 16:1 ratio. The guitar is equipped with a bone nut and saddle, offering excellent sustain and resonance. It comes with a custom wood rosette, a tortoise pickguard, and D'Addario EJ-16 strings.

The Collings OM2H-T Traditional Acoustic Guitar is finished with a high gloss extra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer on both the body and neck, allowing the wood to resonate freely and enhancing the overall tonal characteristics. The guitar comes with a Collings Traditional Handcrafted Case, specially designed and built in-house to provide superior protection and complement the instrument's aesthetic.
