Collings Guitars are the number one choice for musicians who seek fine, handmade guitars. Founded in 1973 by Bill Collings, Collings are renowned for their stunning tonewoods, traditional craftsmanship, stunning attention to detail and jaw-dropping tone. Each instrument is built by a team of the world's finest luthiers in Collings' Austin, Texas workshop, using only the finest materials available. Each Collings guitar is hand-voiced using hand-selected, carefully chosen tonewoods by master luthiers with the whole tonality of the instrument in mind.

The OM (Orchestra Model) has long been the signature Collings model, thanks to its deep, rich voicing and luxurious feel, and it's been seen in the hands of some of the world's greatest acoustic players.  This custom-built OM2 takes it to the next level, with subtle tweaks to its tonal recipe and simple, tasteful appointments that bring a touch of elegance to the classic OM shape.

Featuring a solid old-growth Sitka Spruce soundboard along with gorgeous, dark chocolate-coloured solid East Indian Rosewood back-and-sides, Honduran mahogany neck with their 'vintage' profile, ebony 'Vintage' bridge with ebony bridge pins and a drop-in bone saddle, and Indian Rosewood body binding. The bracing chosen is Collings' Pre-war scalloped X-brace with no tongue brace for vintage-accurate tone and added responsiveness.

The sound is jaw-dropping - clear, loud and rich with incredible depth and headroom, and enormous dynamic range. It possesses all the projection and tonal clarity Collings is known for, while still maintaining a good measure of warmth on the bottom end, and a detailed, complex harmonic balance that makes it simply a pleasure to play. A wonderful heirloom-quality OM that stands out from the crowd.
