The Maton S60 Acoustic Guitar from the Solid Road Series (SRS) combines advanced craftsmanship and improved production methods, making it a standout choice for both seasoned players and newcomers. Featuring a dreadnought body shape, this guitar delivers a full, balanced sound with exceptional dynamic range. The solid Bunya pine top and solid Queensland maple back and sides work together to enhance the guitar’s resonance, allowing for a broad tonal spectrum. With its refined neck and body geometry, the S60 offers improved playability, making complex chord shapes and single-note runs easier to execute, while also providing a rich, full acoustic projection.
The neck, made of Queensland maple, is paired with a streaky ebony fingerboard, ensuring smooth playability and crisp note clarity. The scalloped Maton X bracing inside the body further amplifies the guitar's tonal response, contributing to its powerful, resonant sound. The bone nut and saddle are carefully crafted to maximize sustain and tone quality, while the satin pre-catalysed nitro finish gives the guitar a sleek appearance and enhances the natural sound of the wood. Acoustic Centre offers free shipping on all new items to most locations within Australia on all orders over $99, excluding Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland. Used items have a flat rate shipping fee of $59 within our usual shipping locations. We also offer competitive Express shipping options at checkout.
Customers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland recieve free shipping on all accessory orders over $99, but will incur a flat rate instrument or large item shipping charge of $179 (or $299 for Express shipping).
Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.

We endeavour to show the actual instrument in stock whenever possible, but the guitar in stock may differ slightly from the one shown on our website. Materials used can look different from guitar to guitar, including timber grain and colour, parts colours and finishing. If an instrument is a one-of-a-kind or preowned guitar, the picture will always be of the actual guitar in stock, but production models may have slight variations to the picture shown.

Two things to get out of the way. One, I play bass as my primary instrument. Two, I didn't purchase my guitar from Acoustic Centre as I was living in Perth at the time. With that said, the S60 is an incredible instrument at any price that will get you at least 90% of what a boutique acoustic delivers. Maton build these guitars with the same bracing, fretwire, hardware, and dimensions as even their messiah series. The only difference is wood, and grading is only cosmetic. All solid wood with sitka spruce top and queensland maple back and sides means the perfect all rounder tone with plenty of volume, dynamics, and tone strong enough for strumming, but with enough nuance for fingerstyle. The wide 44mm neck is perfect for my bass playing hands and even trickier chords can be cleanly executed without my fingers tripping over each other. Bone nut and saddle and grover tuners complete the quality package, and by opting for minimal bling and no electronics, Maton focuses your dollar on pure tone and quality construction (also satin lets the woods breathe more in my opinion). The best value in solid wood guitars today, you will not be disappointed.

This is guitar is loud in volume & rich in tone. It is probably the most affordable all-solid guitar on the market with such a rich tone. The combination of Qld Maple back & side with Spruce top freely resonate in a huge dynamic range. It sings beautifully and extremely even accousticly. Wish Maton could have made this guitar to come with AP5 Pro pickup system. (They only have SRS60 With AP5 Original). Apart from that, I would say it is a different beast to Martin or Taylor. It's gorgeous and I am a very happy player. Over.
