LUXE BY MARTIN™ bridge pins are just another example of the company’s mission to constantly improve the tone and playability of their guitars. These high-tech pins are made from Liquidmetal®, a Zirconium alloy, that reflects energy instead of absorbing it.

The result is an increase in volume and sustain, without sacrificing the low-end, or richness, of the guitar’s tone. In addition, they are extremely durable and will last significantly longer than most bridge pins on the market today.

Martin Guitars' Liquid Metal Bridge Pins.

Hi guys. Tim from Caulfield here. At first glance, one could be forgiven for thinking that anyone prepared to spend $200/$300 on a set of Bridge Pins must have rocks in their head. However, investing that sort of money to bring a significant increase in definition, clarity and sonic balance to your Instrument is a bargain. These Bridge Pins have utterly transformed my beloved 1980 Ibanez Maple Series M340 'Dreadnought'. I had been using Brass Bridge Pins with this Guitar and the end result was that, especially in the Studio, the top end was harsh and brittle and even though it sustained for ages, the overall character of the sound was dense and indistinct. Replacing the Brass Bridge Pins with the Martins immediately allowed each string to be clearly heard representing its' own sonic area, without blurring the definition of any of the other strings. My Maple Ibanez now had a clear sound, which represented each of the strings distinctly, instead of the comparatively mushy mess that went before. The formerly harsh and brittle top end was now in balance with the rest of the sonic landscape, the harshness had now become smooth and much sweeter. In short, these Bridge Pins utterly transformed the sonic viability of my Vintage 'Dreadnought'. I recently purchased a 2nd set of Martin Liquid Metal Bridge Pins for my newly acquired Guild OM240CE 'Orchestra', which already sounded very impressive. The difference to the Guild was not as dramatic as had been the case with the Ibanez, but to be fair, the Guild had far fewer sonic issues. What I can say regarding the addition of the Martin Bridge Pins to the Guild is that all of the nice bits all now became even nicer... More definition, more clarity, longer sustain and an improvement on the overall sound. In both cases, the Martin Bridge Pins enabled a greater volume from each Guitar, but as these days I'm only recording and no longer playing live, it doesn't really matter to me how loud or soft an instrument might be, but for those of us who are still out there playing live shows, it's important for you to know that along with the increase in clarity, balance and definition, there was also an immediate increase in volume from both of these Guitars as soon as the Martin Pins were attached.

    Worthy Upgrade

Was a bit sceptical, put them in my Maton TE Personal and there is a definitely a change in the sound. Slightly brighter, a touch more volume. Main thing is they make string changes easier, they sit well in the bridge plate and look fantastic.
