Handmade in Melbourne, Australia and designed for guitars with piezo pickups, the AP-1 offers a comprehensive solution with features often missing from built-in preamps. This pedal includes a 4-band EQ tailored for acoustic tone with adjustable BASS (50Hz), LO MID (350Hz), HI MID (4kHz), and TREBLE (15kHz) frequencies. Additionally, it boasts a HIGH PASS FILTER at 100Hz to eliminate unwanted noise from soundboard hits.
The AP-1 is crafted with a 100% analogue signal path, ensuring that your acoustic tone remains uncolored and authentic. Key controls include a GAIN knob for input volume and a VOL knob for master volume, with a RED LED indicating when the effect is active. A built-in DI with an earth LIFT switch provides clean, professional sound output, and an internal switch lets you toggle between BYPASS and MUTE modes to manage both XLR and 1/4" outputs effectively.
Perfect for live performance and studio sessions, the AP-1 is versatile and easy to use. Start with all EQ controls centered and adjust the GAIN and VOL knobs to achieve your desired sound. The pedal’s high headroom allows for subtle grit if needed, while the intentional high Treble setting provides precise control over your guitar's ultra-high frequencies. Equipped with a standard Boss-style 2.1mm center-negative 9V DC power connection, the AP-1 integrates seamlessly into your setup.
Acoustic Centre offers free shipping on all new items to most locations within Australia on all orders over $99, excluding Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland. Used items have a flat rate shipping fee of $59 within our usual shipping locations. We also offer competitive Express shipping options at checkout.
Customers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland recieve free shipping on all accessory orders over $99, but will incur a flat rate instrument or large item shipping charge of $179 (or $299 for Express shipping).
Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
