The Sigma SDR-28 dreadnought guitar combines Solid Sitka Spruce for the top with Solid Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. Beautifully built, this guitar is highly rewarding for flat pickers and rhythm guitarists alike. A jet black ebony fretboard is complemented by a bone nut and saddle, while Grover open-gear tuners complete the package.

The engine of this guitar is the Sitka Spruce top, with a brightness and attack which brings the dark Rosewood to life. Rosewood is thought of by luthiers as a “slow” wood, lacking the quick response of, say, maple, but rewarding with acres of sustain and rich overtones. These woods are combined in a traditional square-shouldered dreadnought body. With room-filling projection, the dreadnought is perhaps the most familiar guitar body out there, beloved by guitarists since its original introduction in the early 20th century.

In terms of aesthetics, the Sigma SDR 28 has a premium traditional look, straight out of the golden age of acoustic guitars. Multi-strip purfling surrounds the body to the back and front, matching the multi-strip rosette. A tortoiseshell pickguard protects the top from pick damage, while subtle abalone markers are inlaid in the fretboard. The body is white bound, setting off the woods and purfling perfectly. Open-gear Grover tuners provide solid and accurate tuning, while an included Softshell Case ensures your prized guitar looks its best for years to come.
