In the decades after the war, Martin created a lot of wonderful guitars that are highly sought after today. It was an era where the guitars were built with no commercial consideration whatsoever, built lightly and using the finest old-growth tonewoods, and were entirely hand-built. This gorgeous 1951-built 00-18 bridges the gap between the dry, fundmental pre-war sound and the richer, more bass-forward mid-century tone - the best of both worlds!
This guitar has recently been worked on by world-renowned luthier Jeff Mallia, and repairs include a neck reset and refret, loose brace regluing, replacement saddle, nut, and tuners, as well as reshaping the previous non-original bridge. The guitar now presents as exactly what it is - an expertly serviced vintage Martin with tonnes of character! The sound is otherworldy, with incredible compression, and a light, airy tone that is simply magical. Playability is superb, and the guitar is currently set up with 11-gauge steel strings. This one has it all - stellar tone, effortless playability and incredible mojo, and thanks to Jeff's stunning work it's ready for the studio! Includes non-original hardshell case.

Used items have a flat rate shipping fee of $59 within our usual shipping locations. We also offer competitive Express shipping options at checkout.
Customers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland recieve free shipping on all accessory orders over $99, but will incur a flat rate instrument or large item shipping charge of $179 (or $299 for Express shipping).
Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
