Barry Kerr has been building acoustic guitars since 1984. Over the last 3 decades, he has refined many of the traditional construction methods to produce an instrument that is beautiful and durable with great tone and volume. Specialising in OM-sized guitars, his forward-thinking designs and incorporation of carbon-fibre and composite bracing have yielded some phenomenal-sounding guitars, built right in our backyard. Sadly Barry no longer takes commissions for his work, making this guitar all the more special.
This 2017 custom-built OM is a fabulous example of Kerr's crafstmanship and attention to detail. Featuring a straight-grained Adirondack Spruce soundboard and highly-figured Madagascar Rosewood back-and-sides, it has an unusually deep and thick tone, with plenty of natural compression and sparkling harmonics. The real showstopper here is the inlay work - the headstock boasts an incredibly detailed and impressive Melbourne cafe scene, including a passing tram! Intricately crafted from pearl and abalone, it's utterly unique and really sets this guitar apart. A wonderful Australian-made OM with high-end timbers and stunning craftsmanship. Includes hardshell case.
Acoustic Centre offers free shipping on all new items to most locations within Australia on all orders over $99, excluding Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland. Used items have a flat rate shipping fee of $59 within our usual shipping locations. We also offer competitive Express shipping options at checkout.
Customers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland recieve free shipping on all accessory orders over $99, but will incur a flat rate instrument or large item shipping charge of $179 (or $299 for Express shipping).
Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
