Love D'Addario XT strings; they last like other brand coated strings and have great tone, but don't feel like coated strings.
Online purchasing often lacks ability to see actual items. Turns out my decision to purchase these steel strings is not best for my guitar. Delivery was good.
D’Addario XT strings are relatively new and are available in phosphour bronze and 80/20 bronze varieties; although the latter are hard to come by. In my opinion, they are the best phosphour bronze strings on the market, but are rather expensive. Although they last well, they do not match Elixirs if longevity is your priority. The strings are apparently treated in some way, but in no way do they feel coated and have a warm, full tone without metallic harshness. They play well without much finger squeak as some strings do. Other non coated strings that I would recommend as cheaper alternatives are John Pearse strings or Martin Authentic Acoustic. But if you don’t mind paying a bit more, try the XT strings.
