AUSTRALIA'S #1 ACOUSTIC GUITAR SPECIALIST
The Iris DF 'Relic Tobacco Burst' Acoustic Guitar combines vintage charm with a modern touch, offering an instrument that’s as beautiful to look at as it is to play. Its dreadnought body features a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, resulting in a tone that is rich in warmth and clarity. The 'Relic' finish on this model creates an aged appearance with subtle lacquer checking and yellowing, making it feel like an instrument that has been carefully cherished for decades. With its 25” scale length and 1-11/16” nut width, this guitar offers excellent playability and comfort, whether you're strumming chords or playing intricate fingerstyle passages.
The DF 'Relic Tobacco Burst' is equipped with the signature scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing, which enhances the guitar’s projection and resonance. The custom-designed Golden Age relic brass tuners with off-white buttons, along with the bone nut and saddle, ensure tuning stability and longevity. I bought this Iris DF. I wasn't looking for new guitar but it was so charming and easy and beautiful that I fell in love. It's only been a month but the honeymoon isn't over! Ive done a couple of gigs, a couple of open mics and written a couple of new songs and it's all been super fun. These guitars are superbly built and voiced and the notes jump from the strings. Super light, dry, airy. You've gotta play them. While not cheap, they are excellent value for a high end guitar. And Dan and the fellas at the Acoustic Centre were so helpful, friendly and professional as they always are.
This IRIS is truly a beautiful guitar. It sounds 70 years old right out of the box but plays like the new boutique piece that it is. A keeper that is privilege to play. And, as always, fabulous service and care from the staff at the Acoustic Centre.
