First up: buying from Acoustic Centre was a breeze, good folks to deal with! OK…this is the first resonator I’ve owned. Fit & finish is outstanding, a beautiful looking bit of kit. The setup was perfect straight out of the box. Has a big metallic voice with plenty of sustain. V-neck profile is really comfortable for my slightly dodgy 65 yr old hands. Feels heavy at over 6kg, definitely one to play sitting down. A mate owns a National steel body 12 fret reso which, I must admit, sounds marginally better, but also cost 5 times as much. The Gretsch gives you plenty of twang for your buck. Gonna put John Pearse Spanish Neck strings on & tune to open G…see how that sounds.
Ordered this on Saturday afternoon - delivery to a rural area by Tuesday midday. Amazing service by Acoustic centre, with great friendly service provided. Beautiful guitar, so looking forward to my new journey - thankyou
