Barry Kerr has been building guitars since 1984. Over the last 3 decades, he has refined many of the traditional construction methods to produce an instrument that is beautiful and durable with great tone and volume. Specialising in archtop and OM-sized guitars, his forward-thinking designs and incorporation of carbon-fibre and composite bracing have yielded some phenomenal-sounding guitars, built right in our backyard. Sadly Barry no longer takes commissions for his work, making this guitar all the more special.

This 2008-built guitar was recently re-purchased and refurbished by Barry, and was the very first in his lauded Brazilian Rosewood series, using a particular batch of old-growth Brazilian Rosewood that was harvested in 1961. Barry has chosen a gorgeous set of Lutz spruce for the soundboard, chosen for it's warm, sweet tonal profile and incredible consistent pale colouring. Other premium features include a one piece curly Blackwood neck with matching body binding, Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and tasteful rosette.

This is a powerhouse OM-sized guitar, with all the hallmarks of old-growth Brazlian Rosewood - thick, piano-like bass, silky and sweet trebles and a detailed, complex and airy tonality that suits any style you could possibly imagine!
