The Collings CJ45 T ("T" for Traditional) is the truest-to-form slope-shouldered dreadnought Collings has produced, built to channel the classic Banner-era slope-shoulders of the 1940s. Every element of the standard Collings slope-D design has been re-engineered under the Traditional Series build and voicing: top and back voicing, finish thickness, and neck shape and response all combine for a woody, warm and sweet tone with a wide, loud fundamental that begs to be strummed. A solid Sitka spruce top pairs with Honduran mahogany back and sides, braced with the CJ-45 Wartime scalloped X-brace pattern, to nail the elusive vintage dreadnought voice.

The Honduran mahogany neck carries the CJ-45 carve profile on a mortise and tenon neck joint with a fully adjustable truss rod, feeding an Indian rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl long dot inlays across 19 medium nickel-silver frets and a 24 7/8" scale length. Vintage-correct details, ivoroid body binding, a tortoise pickguard, an ebony peghead veneer with mother-of-pearl Collings logo and nickel Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons, round out the specification. Ideal for players chasing that classic power and high midrange jangle behind so many records, the CJ45 T is one of the finest slope-shouldered dreadnoughts available and ships in a deluxe hardshell case.

  • Indian rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl long dot inlays across 19 medium nickel-silver frets and a 24 7/8" scale length delivers smooth, precise playability.
