Martin D-17 Acoustic Guitar: Standard Series

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

Includes Hardshell Case

The Martin D-17 offers a unique twist on the classic dreadnought design, combining the power and projection of a traditional dreadnought with the warmth and focus of an all-mahogany build. With its solid mahogany top, back, and sides, this guitar delivers a warm, focused tone that’s perfect for players who seek a slightly compressed, more articulate sound compared to typical spruce-topped acoustics. Ideal for both flatpicking and fingerstyle play, the D-17 produces punchy tones with clear articulation while maintaining a deep, rich low-end. Its big-body dreadnought shape, paired with Martin's forward-shifted X-bracing, ensures excellent projection and a well-rounded sound.

Crafted for comfort and playability, the D-17 features a GE Modified Low Oval neck profile made from select hardwood, providing smooth, effortless playability with its 1.75-inch nut width. The fingerboard is made of ebony, with a classic 16-inch radius and elegant GE Diamond and Square Short inlays. A bone nut and saddle ensure solid intonation and tonal purity. The vintage-inspired faux tortoiseshell pickguard and nickel open-gear tuners give the guitar a timeless, classy aesthetic. Whether you’re strumming singer/songwriter ballads or flatpicking bluegrass, the D-17 is a reliable, versatile instrument with authentic Martin tone and craftsmanship.
