The Master Built guitars are hand-crafted using only the finest tonewoods, and each instrument is individually voiced for its unique tonal properties, making every guitar in the series a true work of art. The Master Built series builds on the success of Maton’s Custom Shop, with a scientific approach to guitar design that combines acoustic mapping technology and rigorous material testing. This process includes careful selection and treatment of each component, from soundboard to bracing, ensuring that the materials enhance the guitar’s tonal character. The Maton Classic combines the finest European Spruce for the soundboard and Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, and these classic tonewoods deliver a sophisticated, rich, and clear sound that stands out in any setting. Every aspect of this guitar, from the meticulously shaped bracing to the hand-selected woods, is carefully calibrated for superior tonal and mechanical response.
