Produced from 1998 to 2008, the Gibson WM-45 'Working Man 45' is exactly what it sounds like - a no frills twist on the classic J-45, with the classic slope shoulder tone and feel with a stripped back aesthetic. Gibson had to make it different from their J-45, so gave this version black binding instead of white, and a black pickguard instead of faux tortoiseshell. Thankfully they left all the important stuff unchanged, like the scalloped top bracing, D-shape neck profile, and short scale length. The result is that classic Gibson mahogany slope-shoulder tone and playability that has made the J-45 a favorite acoustic rhythm guitar since the early 1950s.
This 2001-built guitar is in great condition for it's age, with light playwear and scratches throughout, but no major dings or structural issues. The tuners have developed some great patina, and the originally satin neck has shined up nicely. The playability is great, with a slick action and slim D-profile neck. It sounds just as it should - a wonderfully open, classic slope shoulder sound that is just as good as any standard J-45! Includes hardshell case.

Used items have a flat rate shipping fee of $59 within our usual shipping locations. We also offer competitive Express shipping options at checkout.
Customers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland recieve free shipping on all accessory orders over $99, but will incur a flat rate instrument or large item shipping charge of $179 (or $299 for Express shipping).
Occasionally due to issues with delivering to remote or unusual destinations, we aren't able to offer free postage. We reserve the right to retract the offer if freight costs exceed 15% of your purchase. We will always notify you if there is an issue and offer a full refund or arrange alternative delivery options.
All strings and accessories will be shipped with tracking via courier or Australia Post. Other items including guitars and amplification equipment will be shipped using our courier service providers, with a tracking number and signature on delivery.
