Taylor 'Custom Catch' NAMM Exclusive 'Western Red Cedar / Grafted Walnut' Acoustic Electric Guitar

Available at Acoustic Centre Melbourne

Includes Hardshell Case

This Taylor 'Custom Catch' NAMM Exclusive 'Cedar / Grafted Walnut' Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and tonewood selection. Featuring a rare combination of grafted walnut back and sides paired with a striped Western red cedar top, this guitar is not only visually stunning but also engineered for exceptional sound.

Equipped with Taylor’s innovative V-Class bracing, the guitar delivers a precise and balanced tonal response. The cedar top enhances articulation in the treble range, while the walnut back and sides provide a warm, resonant low-end and rich midrange presence.

Visually, the guitar is adorned with elegant wood appointments that showcase meticulous attention to detail. A beveled armrest in flamed maple adds comfort and sophistication, complemented by flamed maple body and soundhole binding, and maple/black top purfling and rosette. The single-ring rosette features maple frames, ebony fields, and a Roman Leaf design, enhancing the guitar’s aesthetic appeal.

Further refinements include a Hard Rock maple peghead logo, an ebony heel cap, and a Hard Rock maple bridge. The peghead and fretboard inlays, inspired by Taylor’s 900 Series guitars from 2001-2010, feature a classic pattern that adds a touch of heritage.

A light-shaded, hand-sprayed chocolate edgeburst accentuates the back, sides, and mahogany neck, while an aged toner treatment subtly darkens the cedar top, enhancing its vintage-inspired look. The guitar is finished with a full-body gloss for durability and a satin sheen on the neck for smooth playability.

Practical enhancements include ES2 electronics for superb amplified sound, a pre-installed TaylorSense unit for easy maintenance monitoring, and it comes with a brown deluxe hardshell case for secure storage and transportation.

Overall, this custom Taylor Grand Auditorium is a testament to Taylor’s commitment to craftsmanship, tone, and aesthetic beauty, making it a coveted choice for discerning musicians seeking both acoustic excellence and visual elegance.
